We’re thrilled to welcome Alice Isaac to Hawley Square Studios, a brilliant collage artist, animator and director bringing vibrant energy to our community.
hi! So you’ve just moved in! Welcome! how are you finding it so far?
Im loving it, this new studio actually makes me excited get up and come in to work
We’re chatting today, how long have you been in?
Ive been in officially since the beginning of November 25.
What drew you to Hawley Square Studios? Was there anything in particular that stood out?
The location is perfect for me, building is beautiful and decorated really nicely, having a proper kitchen, super comfortable communal area and a garden is a HUGE bonus. So, quite a few things really!
Tell us a little about you and your practice!
Im a Collage Artist, Animator and Director and I split my time between making handmade collages, some stop motion animation and also working digitally, being glued to a computer.
I work mainly across fashion and beauty, sport and lifestyle, music and broadcasting. A few of my past clients include Harvey Nichols, Nike, Netflix, Vice, Adidas, The FA and Hulu.
Do you have any projects coming up, or anything we should note will be happening soon?
Ive been working on a fun project for Spotify for the past few months, which will be out at the beginning of Feb!
Where were you prior to this?
Im fast approaching my 3rd year anniversary in Margate, I moved here from Peckham at the beginning of 2022. It took me a long time to find a studio space here, I spent a couple of years in a smaller place just down the road from Hawley Square and now this feels like a bit of a level up!
Do you have a favourite thing about your studio?
The light is amazing, I have dual aspect windows which is insanely rare – it can often be a bit of a luxury to even have one window in a studio, let alone two!
